Mission & Vision
Mission Statement of St. John's Lutheran Church

We are a Christian congregation, subscribing to the Scripture truths as confessed by the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

This congregation accepts and confesses all the canonical books of the Old and the New Testaments as a whole and in all their parts as the divinely and verbally inspired, revealed, and inerrant Word of God and submits to this Word as the only infallible authority in all matters of faith and life (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

This congregation accepts and confesses all the symbolical books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church contained in the Book of Concord of 1580 as the true statements of Scriptural doctrine.

This congregation accepts and confesses these symbolical books without reservation, not insofar as, but because they are the presentation and explanation of the pure doctrine of the Word of God and a summary of the faith held by the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

No doctrine shall be taught or tolerated in this congregation which is in any way at variance with the Holy Scriptures and these symbolical books.

All Bible translations, hymnals, liturgical forms, textbooks, and all other books and forms used in this church for worship and instruction shall conform to the Holy Scriptures and these symbolical books.

May I never boast except in the CROSS OF our Lord Jesus CHRIST, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. ~ Gal 6:14
